“SONS of the ALMIGHTY” are back!

After 5 years in the wilderness, SONS of the Almighty are back! This Sunday 1pm at “Live on the Roundabout”.

Their last gig was at St George’s Park, Newport for the Hope 08 event. The band was formed about 10 years ago to bring God into the world of music, with a mandate to “God up the rock songs and rock up the God songs”. This has always been well received by local young people, especially the song, “One way Jesus”. Other favourite songs include their version of “Angels” and “Pride”. lead singer Tony Murphy says, “we didn’t have to actually change many of the words!”. The current band is made up from Tony, Chris Cattell (guitar and vocals), Julian Newman (lead guitar), Rick Scott (bass) and guest drummer Pete Luther
