Opportunities to serve

Jesus talked so much about serving and it is important to be seeking him to find how we can serve in the church. Serving is often not glamorous, but it is vital for the effective running of the local church and it is something that God always honours (1 Peter 4v10)
Below are specific areas, where we have a real need for people to serve.

Youth and family worker
This amazing opportunity could suit a person or couple who were looking to train towards ordination through the Elim MIT scheme. Read and download the role description here

Church leadership:
This is for a mature Christian, who a heart and a calling to serve God in the local church. Please read the details Leadership expectations and contact the Minister

Website (full training given):
– Putting services up as soon as possible afterwards
– Adding events to online diary
– Working with the minister to keep it up to date and relevant

Gardening
– Our community garden is significant in our ongoing relationship with our locality. Can you volunteer to be part of a team to help maintain and develop this space. Working with the Minister and Food Forest consultant

Cleaning
– To be part of a team who are committed to keeping our facilities as clean as possible. This would involve committing to an hour a week if possible to help systematically follow a cleaning schedule

Administration:
This would include uploading information to the website and helping to deal with emails, ordering and correspondence. This would also suit someone who was able to work from home, so it would be possible to serve, regardless of your location.

Maintenance:
There are currently a lot of things around the site that need attention, mending or painting. If you have skills in this area and can spare some time, we would love to hear from you.
