First ever Walking Church a great success

On Sunday 8th May, as an official part of the IOW Walking, over 50 church members aged 1-70+ and walkers joined in this first event of it’s kind. We set off from the Church Centre and made our way to the Pan Mills Meadows nature reserve, a place that not many people realsied even existed! While we were there, we took time to stop, to listen, to reflect on God’s amazing creation. There were times of prayer and singing as we focused on rivers, wild garlic and bridges. It was good to “get out of our church box” and we couldn’t fail to experience God in the middle of his amazing creation and it was generally agreed that we must do it again.
