Fringe Fest 2024 Day 1

The church response to Fringe Fest has been so encouraging this year. In the days leading up, we have had so many generous gifts of food and other useful items. We even received a freezer AND enough food to fill it, meaning we can be a big blessing all weekend, starting today.
The Street Pastors had arrived yesterday and done their first night up at the festival, so they have settled in well and it was great to see many of them around today.

The day started with a Morrisons delivery. I thought they had come to the wrong address, because we certainly didn’t order it. Turns out it was ordered by Noreen and Jasmine from Winchester. What a blessing, a crate full of cakes, biscuits, ice pops and lots of other lovely things.
A steady flow of people came in and we’ve already met some lovely people from Scotland and from Wales.
Great support from church members today. We counted about 20 of all ages. We were more than happy to put the bouncy castle up when Ola’s boys and Mia appeared. Also a special shout out to John, who was non stop in the kitchen.
