Just another manic Monday…
Check this out to see the sort of things we do as a church when its NOT Sunday!
8.30am Delivered our bouncy castle up to Summerfields Primary…
9.30am Castle up and a queue of 40 kids waiting to go on…time to go and leave it in the hands of the staff!
10am Straight down to the church centre where we’re hosting a meeting for the National Play Day that we’re involved in on the 5th August. I reckon its going to be a cracking day! This is just one of several times this week that our building is being used by the community
12am Tidied up and sorted out stuff- got the hut ready for drum lessons which start tonight
1pm LUNCH
4.30pm Collected bouncy castle from Summerfields School Summer Fayre…helped to make it a very successful time for them (see piccy of Jodie)
6pm Roger, from “Strange Affair” (Sid’s band who practice at the church) is now doing drum lessons in
our HUT! Went and opened up for him- he reckons what we’re doing for the community is what Christianity is all about. (see piccy right)
7pm Sally and Jamie (& Pickle the dog) have just gone down to open up for the “Sowing Seeds” Islandwide prayer meeting. They are one of many church/ community groups that use our building
10pm Went down and locked up for the “Sowing Seeds” group. Locking up is NOT a caretaker type thing- its ministry…a chance to talk about the Good News, network with other Christians and groups etc.
