Phil the Trolley- Foodbank UK tour (IW leg)

What a great day! The Newport leg of the UK tour started at 11am at Newport Distribution Centre (Church on the Roundabout) and managed to visit (and be photographed with staff! Pics to come…) in 35 locations in three hours. Here’s a few highlights:

Foundation Bakery– great support here and lots of pics

Pizza Express– they gave us a humungous bag of smarties, which meant we had something to give out for the rest of the day!

Barclays Bank– Got a great welcome there, but it did help having Sonia from Barclays on team with us!

Nat West– Sorry Sonia, but they also gave us a great welcome (Thanks Julian)

County Press– They took some pics of us, so hopefully we’ll be in it this week or next!

Costa Coffee– stopped for a refuel and they gave us some cups to put our smarties in

Spar– Great welcome from Justin (manager) and his staff… did plenty of photoshoots and collecting there

Apple Energy– eventually persuaded them to be in a photo!

Phil’s Diner– nice welcome there

and finally… a chance meeting with Meridian Tonight film crew… we may be on tonight at 6pm??? Will be watching just in case!
